A Foundation Built on Vision and Work Ethic
Lakeland Polymers is a story of American entrepreneurship, forward thinking, and family values. Founded in 1979 by Chick Maute, the company began with the idea to find and create efficient, reliable solutions for industrial plastic recycling.
The business was built on Chick’s knowledge of the plastics industry, his ability to forge strong relationships, and ethical practices. That foundation has guided our growth for over 4 decades.

The Second Generation
Today, Lakeland Polymers proudly remains a family owned and operated business, led by brothers Mike and Dave Maute.
Mike and Dave carry forward their father’s legacy, complimenting tradition with innovation to meet the demands of the current recycling landscape. They stress that every transaction be handled with the personal service and integrity that defined the company in its early days. Under their leadership, Lakeland Polymers continues to grow, serving suppliers and customers across the US, Mexico and Europe, and the Far East.
